My BLS tracking status shows the shipping data, and Purolator shows the destination city to be that of my friend's address. So I think the phone request to change shipping address worked.

I called BLS to have my address changed to that of a friend, they did it over the phone. I am in India on eVisa now, and my OCI is at the Toronto Consulate, should be dispatched in a few days. I can update this thread on how the experience goes, and if my friend actually receives it properly

Finally got in touch with BLS today and got the delivery address changed. Mine isn't coming by Feb 9 based on the timeliness I'm seeing on this forum. It's fine, now I'll keep calm knowing it will be delivered to a place where someone can receive it in my absence.

Has anyone had success with reaching BLS via phone? Been trying to call them to request a change of return address since I'll be out of the country. OCI applications are taking much longer than 2 months now, and it is very likely that I won't receive mine before my departure on Feb 9 (ACK Jan 3)

It will change once they process it and send it to the Consulate. This is a weird auto-populated value which honestly they should keep internal and not publish on a user-facing website.

EVisa should be quick. I applied for my daughter last night and hers was granted first thing this morning.

OCI from a third country is complicated. I asked (not for Australia though). The Indian Consulate will entertain the application under ordinary circumstances only if the person is a resident of the country. OCI application can't even be submitted in India unless you are a resident for 6+ months...

I'm not an expert by any means, but the PR card's validity is by no means an indication of your status in Canada. Someone could live in Canada indefinitely with an expired PR card and still be a considered a lawful permanent resident. You can call BLS to confirm the supporting documentation, but...

I submitted my OCI application by post on Nov 27. Application date shows Dec 2, currently says Processing At Consulate with no record found in the OCI services website. What is a realistic expectation for receiving the document in hand? Can this happen before Feb 9, my planned travel date...
