OCI process

So I finally see an update on the OCI status inquiry portal for my application (BLS Toronto, postal, application date: Oct 2) and it states 'Under Process'. Before I begin to relax a bit, I realize that my wife's application is still not showing (Same application date; in fact both applications were sent in the same envelope) on the OCI status inquiry portal :(

Anyone else has experienced this? When will this frustration end? I'm regretting my decision to book tickets in advance

Each application is processed separately, so this happens. Expect it to come any time soon.

Hello guys
Submitted 3 applications today with appointment at BLS brampton.
The process was smooth enough as I had no error/mistake in application , carried every document which they could ask additionally. But ,
yes definitely they rejected my photos even it was professionally clicked and I had to get 8 photos for $120. Even if NOC mentions anysize, they still want them to be perfect.
And yes, they would force you to opt for courier option, as I chose Pick up , the lady started telling me “ now your application would take 8-10 weeks, with courier it could have been 6-8 weeks”. I didn’t bother and chose pick up.
So Overall, it was good experience not much botheration

Nice to hear that your submission was smooth. I am trying to get an appointment for Nov 1st or 2nd week to submit my OCI application in Brampton BLS, but still the Nov month's appointments have not been open. How were you able to get the appointment, just wanted to know when they usually open the appointment slots. thanks

But isn't this what India wanted.. Now they got what they wanted.. There diplomats are still same here so ideally they should have no issues in restoring visa services if we go by logics

I went to pick it up even though I have paid courier as I have flight on 25th October looks like they don't even know when they will receive at the centre and when they dispatch as per all our time lines they ship it next day or day after but clearly they don't know.

I took appointment on 29th Sep but I heard that they will be opening slots from 20-26Oct for new appointments. Do keep an eye

Yours changed to "Processed" today isn't it? The consulate has to sign and stamp it and then pass on to BLS. Usualy happens in a day or two but could take longer. At that point the BLS site will update the status. No point in attempting to pickup before then.

In My point of it is unlikely they will resume VISA services . If i am not wrong , india will decrease its diplamatic capacity in canada saying it is not safe in CANADA and they will increase the wait time further in issuing the OCI applications and i am not surprised the OCI time will go beyond 4 months eventually

If India will go to that route it will be really sad :( I hope they dont do these to there own people :(
