Obtaining PCC for OCI holder

Hi All,

I have applied for my wife's PR. She is a US citizen and hold OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India). Today we got a request that we need to submit PCC from India. Now we are confused about this. Where should we get the PCC from?

We checked the website and it said that for Non residents we have to contact the consulate. We checked their site and it seems that they issue PCC for Indian passport holders only. Does anyone here have any experience with this? Also, how much time does it take? CIC mentioned in their correspondence that we have 60 days to send it.

US citizen here , got PCC from SFO Embassy since i live in California . It takes 2 weeks maximum thro mail . If you go personally to SFO Embassy , i think you can get it in one week . I don't know about other Indian embassies.

Contact your Indian Embassy which serves your area.It should not matter if you are US Citizen as you are also OCI and they should issue you the PCC and tell them why you need it...Good luck
