Friends,
I read something interesting in another forum today. A person who took the citizenship test on 21-May in Mississauga writes:
"The one thing that I saw was noticeably different - successful applicants were being given their oath dates on the spot! I thought a CJ had to approve it? It appeared as though the COs already had the approval, and just needed to cross-check and confirm and invite for oath! They've invited me for taking oath early next week! Hope I get no more surprises after this!"
Can you believe this? Mississauga is giving oath date on the spot! And we poor St Clair folks are waiting for ages.
Its fact, Mississauga offices were doing it fast. In the month of March, my friend appeared for test on Monday, the officer interviewed him and asked him to appear for the Oath, Friday of the same week.
Attorney who filed my Citizenship case informed that since Mississauga office will be merging with other offices. So, they are speeding up all pending cases. I dont know what's fact but I thought its was just B.S, with such big population Mississauga office cannot be closed.
Unfortunately, the St.Claire office seems to be in total mess. Every candidate here required RQ, even after that the wait is indefinitely.
