Indeed. I'm thinking about wearing the niqab, maybe my file will go faster...Elfina said:Look like all applications about RQs and people who received RQs are on standby. They may have put our applications in a closet somewhere.
For those who think having a job is required to secure the Citizenship, you are wrong. I know (neighbors) a family of 7, 5 kids who are all living on welfare in Montreal got their Citizenship. When I asked them if job wasn't a requirement, they said they know at least 8 different families like them who got their citizenship. Here's where it gets fun: apply with 3 days short (1092 days) you get killed by heavy processing, you will be asked to provide your dentist underwear size and the number of seating chairs in your church; do not work and have the government feed you for 3 years, then apply for citizenship, you get a free pass. Amazing country!
Why do you blame the country? If you think the country's value doesn't fit with your value, please just give CIC a call and I'm sure the nice peeps over there will be happy to remove your applicationElfina said:Look like all applications about RQs and people who received RQs are on standby. She got a point though! She must be going to Parc Extension to eat some food at some Halal Pizza shop on Jean Talon and that's where she must have met these dudes who got Citizenship on disability!! If you work then you have to prove if you have lived 1095 days or not but if Govt feed you, you certainly are living here without any break. It kind of make sense because Govt knows people love to get feed without doing anything so Govt never questions their residence.Elfina said:Look like all applications about RQs and people who received RQs are on standby. No, you got it wrong, not blaming, asking for fair and faster processing which is not too much asking. What does withdrawing my application has to do with my application? I am not what you just described, I am not from the group of people you describe either. I am also male. We happen to be neighbors. I did not take a penny from Canada and my spouse and I make way over $100K a year. I own a house, I am upset that I pay high taxes, by the way every year we owe the government. To learn that CIC giving attention to people who choose not to work is very upsetting to me. If I had to make a decision, I would put a certain income as floor to be eligible for citizenship.washington.state said:She got a point though! I understand your frustration but income requirement will make this citizenship as if "Citizenship for sale" then you only make 100K even after including your wife and Massage Parlours owners, PIMPS, HookXers, ProstXitues, Casino owners and drug dealers who make 3 Million a year will be first in line to get Citizenship as they would be making 30 times more money than you. So money or earnings can never be a critarea unless it is investor class.Elfina said:I am not what you just described, I am not from the group of people you describe either. I am also male. Agreed. That productivity is there, money made honestly. Drug dealers have nothing to do in this debate. We invested in a company of 5 people that grew since then to 12, 60% ownership. We also own a store, I sold my property outside of the country to buy a house here and now closing a deal on a commercial building purchase. A cousin of mine applied with 1088 by mistake, he owns 3 gas stations, 1 night club and a dollar store, guess what? Application is still under processing since April 2013 because of the 7 days. He barely travels outside of Canada and only goes to Germany and Belgium. Learning that people under welfare get free pass at CIC is not understandable to me. Anyway lets hope for the best with Lib in the game.washington.state said:I understand your frustration but income requirement will make this citizenship as if "Citizenship for sale" then you only make 100K even after including your wife and Massage Parlours owners, PIMPS, HookXers, ProstXitues, Casino owners and drug dealers who make 3 Million a year will be first in line to get Citizenship as they would be making 30 times more money than you. What has to be done is some sort of "Productivity Criteria" and this productivity scale should calculate what productive things you did since moving to Canada? Did you work?, went to University?, did Phd and research so added patents to University?, started business?, Started UBER taxi?, paid Taxes or anything as long it is productive.
I understand your frustration. I just meant that the sarcastic "Amazing country" is uncalled for. This is solely the problem with the immigration policy and CIC. That's why I said if you don't like the country then simply don't apply for its citizenship. I applied because I like the county and its people.Elfina said:No, you got it wrong, not blaming, asking for fair and faster processing which is not too much asking.
