Oath Ceremony for Minor

Can someone provide details on minor's participation in the oath ceremony. We have received the invite for the minor as well. We had indicated in the form that we do not want the minor to attend the oath ceremony.

Is it required for the minor to be present during the virtual ceremony?

Anyone who has been through the ceremony process with a minor can shed some more light on this.

We just received invitation for both of our minors.
I see they are not required to sign oath form (though they have received that form).
Do I need to inform IRCC in advance if minors will not be present? Do we still need to cut their PR cards during ceremony?

Minors are not required to attend the ceremony. Yes you do need to cut their PR card during ceremony in front of the officer.

Our minor didn't participate in oath ceremony as she was under 14 years old and she received her certificate but I cut her PR card.
