Hello All

I checked the citizenship tracker for my kid. My kid is 9 years old. It shows that the status was updated today as he has to take a citizenship oath in a couple of weeks.

My questions are

1. Do kids need to attend citizenship oath ceremony? I thought they did not need to.
2. The tracker was updated this morning. But we have not received the email with the instructions yet. Does it take a couple of days to get the email.

1) The kid's presence isn't required.
2) Not sure how long it takes, but the mail is usually received after the tracker shows the date, so all is normal at this point. Congrats on your upcoming oath ceremony!

So we just now got an email with zoom link and every other details needed for attending the ceremony.

Note: I had applied for his application separately as minor 5(1).
Can I or the mother sit with him during the ceremony? Please advise on what to do

It would be mostly for destroying the PR card. Yes you or kids mother can attend with him.
