NY consulate processing times

Hi Friends,
Can you please share your experience on how much is processing time for TRV at NY Consulate these days?

I am not sure about recent time, but I applied in April 2011 from NY, and they process it in 1 days. Lets say if you submit your application personally on tuesday, they will ask to come you on wednesday for passport pick up. I have no idea about processing time, if you send your application by mail.

visa issued on March 5th 2012
passport returned to me on March 9th 2012

30freaking business days. I mailed my documents to NY canadian consulate on April 28th and they told me that they regular mailed it back on June 6th. But I freaking haven't receive it now!!! I live in montreal and it's only 400 miles away from NY!!!! I'm suppose to fly back to my country on June.25th. They told me that it took 7-10 business days by using regular mail, but now it's totally over it !!! I am so freaking mad. I couldn't track it and could just stupidly waiting for it. I want to go home !!!!! So SAD!!! I can't stop thinking that is my passport lost on its way!!!!?? What can I do!!!!!!

did you read NY consulate website ? they are very clear 30 day's processing time and they also said make plan to travel 3 month for you wont have dissapointe!
