Congrates! Could you please share with us when your security check was changed to in progress?

My background check was changed to in progress on january 17th.

Just received PPR, around 20,30 pm, December 20 applicant with spouse

Haven't received any DM, still showing in progress. Really surprised, it arrived on Friday night ;D ;D ;D ;D

So happy, long wait is coming to an end, I can't believe this is gonna be over soon.

I have not contributed to this forum, but it has been a great source of information and hope, mostly at the end, keep the good faith and good luck with applications.

Dec.04 2015 - Pr application sent
March 04 2015 - got AOR/ file number
Aug or Sept 2015 can't remember - RPRF and additional docs.
Nov 02 2015 - Medical request
Feb 06 - DM
Feb 08 - PPR
Feb 20 - passport sent
Feb 21 - Passport received to Ottawa
Feb 27 - passport visa stamped
March 07 - passport back

Hi want to ask how did you know your passport has been stamped already? Did you received an email then?

Yes I did.. though I got the update from my email late like 2 days after I checked my CIC account and it was "closed" meaning they stamped my passport already.. And I always check my account just to see if there's any update..

Oh isee thank you. So it takes almost 2 weeks I guess for that process.

Its kind a depressing that majority people getting PPR have their background check started late January 2017 but mine was in progress Yesterday March 10th, is that mean I will have to wait another month and a half for passport request? I am Dec 23rd applicant, CIC agent says file is in Ottawa.

Hi everyone, I know its hard to having to wait for so long but they still got till end of March or April to be in the 16 month range.
I am a Dec 30 applicant and my status changed 2 days ago to final decision in progress. I have my PR on my vision board and I put March 15 down as a date. Lets see if that's going to happen. But it looks like I am getting closer. Hang in there and congratulations to the once who received theirs.

whats your background status? i think everyone has the final decision in process. its just the new text format.

not sure but it might have been sometimes in January, was not checking it much that time, but it probably doesn't matter that much what myCIC is saying, as I received my PPR and system still showing in progress and no DM. Looks like it is case to case different
