Every time you feel bad about your timeline... remember that there is at least one Dec 2015 applicant still waiting for Medicals and that CIC call centre mention that everything is progressing normally.

I would love to be waiting just for DM or BG... etc...

Going for IELTs soon... new path would be E.E., since this paper based process just takes hair out of my head.

Yup, sooner or later they will move even the paper based PNP electronic systems similar to EE which should make process time quicker

Can you order GCMS notes?

Same here, unfortunately they have stopped working on our applications because many Dec applicants received their PPR ans seems that we are the unlucky ones waiting without any progress. I don't think that we will hear anything this months maybe in April or maybe even more!

If your security check hasn't started then yeah it sucks. But if it started and not completed there is nothing you can do. This is my case. Security check is going to just be a long wait for me due to my nationally.

I agree. I think we are on the same boat maybe we have the same officer who is working on our file. It sucks our BG has not started even yet. Currently i am very conflicted coz my passport will be expering this december so hopefully my PR will be approved before it reaches 6 monts to expire. I want to renew my passports but I dont want to at the same time coz my Passport reqs my come up too.

I really hope so too. I really wanna go home to my country on April as I havent been back to my hone country for 4 years! That is why somehow I am getting frustrated for this long processing unlike before.

I just went home first time in 6 years. Traveling shouldn't affect your application as long as you have valid status when you come back.

Meanwhile I just got passport copy & annex A delivered to Ottawa. Let see how long it takes to get it back.

I get your point. Our case is:

If we could have recieved PPR and got the landing Visa, we are good to travel aboard, but we are waiting for PPR, so it is better to wait until we get the Visa, otherwise, we are complexing the last step.

doesn't matter. You can get visa stamped in your home country if PPR comes when you are away from Canada. When you get your PPR, you can send a email to CPC-Ottawa and get specific instructions. Maybe you'll save a trip to US-Canada border and that's about it

It's your decision, after all, but surely it can be done just as easily

Thank you for the tips!
I just don't want to take any risk at this point. Besides, I am not really in the mood to go for a trip under the circumstances. I believe myself and other friends on the same boat with me will recieve PPR in this month.
