Hello Guys,

I have applied PR last Dec 23rd and I am on the same boat like other December applicants but my workpermit is going to expire on May'26th 2017...Can somebody advice me what should I do? should I wait for my PR?or if wait so howlong? one thing more, I have Employer restricted nomination, so I can not apply bridging workpermit...Can anybody guide me how to apply closed workpermit?

First of all waht's the status of your BG if it's in progress probably you will get something but if it's not for close work permit your employer should submit a letter and fee to IRCC. You need to obtain LIMA based on your job category.

Is anyone waiting for passports to be returned from Ottawa?
Just interested in timeline as I sent it on Feb 25th, arrived this morning in Ottawa so I'm waiting for my landing

We are in the same boat. I sent my passport on Feb 21st, received 23rd, still waiting...myCIC said application approved and case closed as of yesterday. Hopefully I can get it back soon...good luck to us all.

Apply online from myCIC. You will need Closed work permit and note LMIA-exempted code T13

There should be a work permit support letter from your nominating province saying your employment is immediately required, which should be able to support the T13 claim

I did sent passport on 22nd feb, they received on 23rd feb.. return tracker not activated and ECAS is APPROVED but doesnt say case closed or so.. anyone know how long it usually takes?

I called IRCC and the agent told me that the online status is always the current status of your application and background check is not needed means that they have not started your background check or security!! Almost 15 months and they did not touch my application and do the security check or background check!! so frustrating and I don't think that I will get anything in 16 months!
I assume this is a kind of hold on some applications because many Dec applicants have received PPR and I am waiting to start my security

You not alone. Am December 21 applicant and my BG still not needed. I have applied for GCMS notes.

You not alone. Am December 21 applicant and my BG still not needed. I have applied for GCMS notes.

If they issue it now you will see the location is PS and security no started. But if you get it please share thanks

Since a lot of Nov 2015 friends are PPRed, I have been checking this forum and logging in my cic account to check all the time. I wish our PPR could be sent to us sooner than later...Please!!!!!
Is there anyone could share with me how you guys go through this stressful period? I tried watch more movies, but there is no good movie out there in this month. Not interested in the 50 shades, Transformer will be on air in summer, KING KONG is not on air neither....what I shall do?!!

Maybe they could accomplish your check and send you ppr in one week. I know two of my friends got status changed and received ppr in one week.

Although I am still waiting for my ppr, I think my ppr will come soon, so does yours. Maybe you can wait and see.

yup. sometimes they go into junk box or grouped as "Promotion" in Google Inbox

I set a rule in gmail so that any email from .gc.ca goes to a special folder and buzzes my phone
