I see. Yeah, I realized upfront medical didn't do any good to me. Also, my security check is currently in progress (as of last week) and given my nationality I don't expect it to be done anytime soon.

Do you know how long the medicals must be valid before landing/PPR?

CoPR should be valid until 1 year from date of medical exam

Based on their risk assessment they decide the level of security check required for each case. Simple cases are done in one day or so. Others take much longer as you said.

till now no response from CIC, its very painful to wait for so long for PPR.

Have you ordered GCMS notes? did they ask additional info?

CIC is sending PPR periodically. Lots people got PPR last week or the week before, no one updates any PPR news this week. weird

Oct. 5th, 2015 applicant here. Background changed to in progress on Jan. 5th, 2017. No news yet.
I think if they ask for additional information such as supervisor name, resume and etc. then at least you should be ready for at least 20 months processing time... lets hope we get it soon.. ;D
