"Ok guys, since I've seen something like this in other forums. What I am looking the most for is the group number if you have it. I think there is a big chance that this number have something to do with the sequence our PPR will be submitted" Please update your timeline here. Thanks in advance.

I think you are absolutely right.
The only thing we achieve by doing Medicals before they request is a false peace of mind that we somehow did something to speed up the process. It doesn't really do anything to the processing in reality. they'll do things at their own speed. once your Medicals expire, they'll ask you to do them again... and at that point you can't say anything because nobody asked you to do them early in the first place.

To be fair guys, I don't really think doing medicals upfront is a good idea. Many people think it will put some pressure in Cic officers, but the ugly truth is it doesn't.

The only ones getting a benefit out of this are the medics, because when we do those Meds upfront we most likely will have to either renew them or re do them, at our expense. I was also tempted to do an upfront medical, because it didn't came after 3 months from my AOR as in the previous years, in the end i waited 6 months and did them at the right time. Now the average processing time is taking 16 months (from 12 months the day I applied), this time is more likely to increase and there are a few cases which takes longer than 16 months, whoever is in that case, would be licking its wounds, cuz he/she will have to end up paying 200+ per person in the application for the re medicals.

I am Nov. 30 2005 Applicant and I have exactly the same statuses like you do.

I got my Medical on Oct 27 and status changed to PASSED on Nov 11.

It probably does more damage to do upfront medical than not. For sure it will not speed up processes. It only gives more chance for error, either by CIC or the doctor
