You got ur passport request real soon after dm! Thats gud man. I wish we all remaining dec 2015 applicants hear something soon too.. 21st month has started and background check is still in progress

hi guys, I am oct 2015 applicant and got stuck in background check.
the condition is so frustating. it has been almost 22 months since i applied.
I am not exactly sure what should i do? i heard from somebody that u should contact local MP.Is that works?
I need suggestion plz

hi, did they ask any additional documents from you during processing specially after medical done??
I think you will! I am still waiting for my work permit extension. It takes 70 days now.

I have contacted mine multiple times and there has been no progress. They come back with: File is with third party security screening. IRCC has no control.hi guys, I am oct 2015 applicant and got stuck in background check.

I say its BS. Giving up and applying through EE now..

Mine is more than a month but haven't received anything. I heard it takes around 8 weeks to get CSIS status or note.
If you apply through EE and they send your case for comprehensive background check which is more likely to do so, then it's the same thing. I know many applicants from different streams that they are waiting for background check even through EE. The best option is to continue follow up for this one!

I bet EE will be faster. My security screening was completed by Cs i s 3 months ago and sent back. Unless it is held at cbsa, ircc paper based processing team seems to be too slow to even update the status of security screening in their system. EE is the way to go as their internal ircc activities seems to be a lot faster.

cic automated call said application is approved as of today, hopefully they wont take long to send back my passports
