are you not having a valid status? if yes, you can’t apply before AIP

yes, if it’s still valid, means you’re within 6 months of visitor stay

They didn’t stamp the passport. I just have the TRV stamp for visitor visa

Valid temporary status
To have valid temporary resident status, you must either

• have a valid temporary resident permit
• have a valid visitor record, work permit or study permit
• have maintained your temporary resident status or
• have applied for and are eligible for restoration of your status as a
  • visitor
  • worker or
  • student

I would suggest you use TRV together with a boarding pass if your spouse came to Canada within the past 6 months.

I have given the BIL on 16th Dec and the biometrics enrolment date got updated in GCkey but under biometrics status, it still shows ‘your fingerprints are needed’. Does anyone knows how long it will take to update.

Not visitor but a WP holder. May be exempt from another IME for completion of a previous IME in the last 5 years.
