Got an answer to my question about getting an e-certificate:


The electronic certificates (e-certificates) are available upon urgent request. It is necessary to ask for it at your identification for the ceremony. Once the file is closed, it is no longer possible the change the format.

The treatment may be location specific. I had my oath ceremony yesterday and at the end checked with the officer whether I could get an e-certificate. I was not asked for any justification (I had already said I had no immediate travel plans) and she said it's doable and that I would not get a paper certificate. The only thing I was asked to do differently was to add in the body of the email with my oath form that I had requested the e-certificate during the interview.

This morning I received email instructions to access the certificate and was able to download it.

We had some discussion in the waiting room for the ceremony after this (on 29 July).

From what I understand, the initial is the most essential thing to route to the right person, so as long as you have that and your application number, you should be fine.

I put "Oath form for [Application number]. - [Initials of office]", and it worked fine because I got email instructions to download the certificate the next day.

I have no idea whether the oath is online or in person. Just the tracker updated, I haven't received the official letter...

You and I have very similar timelines. Same story here. Hamilton office. Test completed March 10. Radio Silence for nearly 4 months now. LPP is still in progress. I don't even check status anymore. Just living my life hoping one day it will all be done!

I am in the same boat. Completed my test in Hamilton on March 16th, since then no movement, even my background check is in progress. One day it will all be done. Hope that day come soon.

Do you mean the citizenship test? I'm not sure if you can request it in person. best to call them.

Hi,

I sent an email to the Ceremony office of Scarbrough asking for the date of my ceremony and I have been scheduled for 18th July. The email will be sent 1 week prior to the ceremony.
