I have applied for Inland Spousal Sponsorship application for my wife and my wife is in Canada on a Tourist visa.
Below are the timelines:

• Application submitted: Jan 16th, 2022
• Format: Online application on PR portal (link: https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login)
• Pre-AOR : Not received
• AOR : Not received

Please help me with below questions:

• When do we get a pre-AOR ? How can I get one? Is it by calling IRCC Contact Centre?
• When do we get a AOR ?
• Can Pre-AOR be used to apply for a work permit ?
  As I have used online portal to submit Inland Spousal Sponsorship application, AOR is mandatory to apply for Open work permit application.

Hey buddy, looking at the Spreadsheet linked in the first post, anywhere between 30-60 days is what it looks like... so you might get it in the next week or so. I got mine via Email and my fiance (sponsor) got a letter in the mail.

AOR took 79 days after Pre-AOR. The Pre-AOR is just a temporary application number, you can't use that to link the application to the portal or anything, it's just used if you need to reference your application to IRCC before they start processing it.

Pre aor is send to the PA And Sponsors E- mail. You don't need to contact IRCC.

Online applicants have backlogged. I see October 2021 applicants receiving their AOR this month for online applicants.

Finally got pre-aor email today, submitted spousal inland online on November 28, 2021 hopefully offfical AOR doesn't take another 4 months, happy to see some sort of movement.

I got my AOR / Medical Request on 16 Feb, the Eligibility stayed at "Not Started" the entire time and didn't change to "In Progress". It went from Not Started to Completed on the 12 March. I'm still waiting for an update on my background check.
