I received a ghost update on the citizenship application. But nothing has changed really. Checking if anyone else received such an update.
It happened to me when I applied online. I goofed up the number of days present in Canada. All I had to do was fix my calculation in the online application (everything else was thankfully saved) and resubmit.
It DID mean I ended up going to the back of the line and had to wait another 3 months for my AOR, which is annoying, but in terms of resubmission, they tell you what went wrong and you can fix it online. Pretty painless all things told

Sorry to hear this. I was curious to know the process. Thanks for sharing. Fortunately, I got AOR yesterday and see the status today. All shows progress except test and ceremony. I guess it is normal.It happened to me when I applied online. I goofed up the number of days present in Canada. We came back home from vacations just to find our application returned on the mailbox 
There is a letter inside the envelop signed on Jan 14th and it states that my wife forgot to get the signature from her representative (me) on the "IMM5476" and my application was also returned since it is part of a family application.
We have never used the IMM5476 (Use of a representative) and we have already applied to several visas and permitis during our lifetime in Canada. Every time we had to call CIC's phone line to deal with something on my wife's application we did it together having her speaking and me assisting her. My intention with this form was to avoid this hustle and allow me to call CIC myself if necessary. I was trying to save time, but end-up wasting 3 months...
Now I am trying to understand if I have to update everything to today's date, recalculating our time here and reprinting everything or if I just need to sign the form and send it back as is... Any ideas???
