Did you have everything completed on your tracker shown before you received the oath invite?
No I was not but I went to the states about 2 or times after my test was done in July because I live close to the border sometimes I go there to buy stuff,visit families and comes back the same day so I don’t know if there was an update on my file that says outside canada. I don’t know .
Everything is completed including the scheduled oath on December 6 2022.
So the tracker is stuck on oath in process since December 6th with all those recent ghost updates.
You can contact your MP regarding this. One other way to know the status would be to call the IRCC call centre and ask for the specific items - BG, Physical Presence, Prohibitions, Language Skills?
Were you ever a protected person in Canada and did you get your PR through the refugee program? If you were did you ever use your old passport to go back your home country while you were PR/protected person?
hah, I just received my CBSA notes. I'm not sure when it was generated but the letterhead says March13. The filename says March15???
Both security/criminality say not started, but it looks like it was started 2022/02/07 LOL..
I also see that RCMP/CSIS requested says 'no'.
Nothing too exciting, except for the fact that my background check is already complete as of last week. So I'm wondering if these notes were generated before last week?? What a shitty system here..
I also notice that my primary office is still sydney and not vancouver and the last time I emailed the vancouver office asking for the test invite they did receive it but it says 'no action taken'. sheeesh.
I read somewhere that the BG is handled by syndey and then the file is passed onto the local office? So, if my BG is complete, I wonder if the file is now finally transferred to vancouver?

Wow. Crazy stuff. Very inefficient. Mine also says Sydney NS (from the information I got from my MP). Currently, my criminality is passed but security is undergoing. So the background is in progress. So what you said makes sense. However, I completed the test and the invitation was from the West office (I live in the Vancouver region). That confuses me. Lol
yeah thats very confusing indeed. Ive been told twice that my file is with vancouver. But theres been no hard evidence of that specially if the BG is handled by Syndey. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm still awaiting test, which i can presume will end up coming from the vancouver office.
I got my citizenship certificate today and thus this whole process is completed 494 days since I applied.
E-citizenship certificate is available since jan 2023. It will avoid postal delays.. I like it. Paper cert is also available but I prefer E-certificate

It seems all going to be online; hence, we may complete the process if we are outside Canada. If I am wrong, please correct me;

2. Self-administered oath ( from June 2023)- You can take it online outside of Canada
3. Citizenship certificate ( Since Jan 2023)- You can choose an e-citizenship certificate and it will be sent to your IRCC account for printing
4. Passport application: You can apply for a Canadian passport in a country where you reside
Therefore, people can follow their travel plans as the process provides flexible options. Bravo!

How long does it take for criminality after background? Isn't that the prohibitions?

My mom has received a citizenship interview invite for March 16th, in the interview letter it states, she has to sign the consent form for use of Microsoft Team and return it prior to interview. This form was not attached to the interview invite email. Does anyone has a copy who can send to me. I emailed them already but so far no response.
