I just received a response to my Privacy Act request about my file. It says they sent me 62 pages but there is only 30. And, you can’t make this up, I sent them a document that contains some information about another family member, and they removed that part before sending it back to me because it contains information about another individual. :D

Honestly, this is ridiculous that paper based applications are where they are at, and online are just sitting in limbo. I'm not surprised though.

I got the email one day after the tracker was updated. My ceremony is scheduled for 7 July. In case yours is later, the email will come closer to the date
I am really happy for you. October Online app here - no processing started on my file yet! Go figure. It's sitting on e-inventory!

I received my 2nd ATIP notes which were no different than the first I received 10 days back, except that the last ones are dated on June 23, 2022. Basically, nothing have changed. They did NOT start processing my application yet. Nothing, No BGC, no prohibitions, no language, no test. All the ATIP says is that they received my documents, that report card is accepted for proof of language, that the calculation of physical presence in Canada is a yes, although Non PR days remain to be checked, and that proof of payment has been accepted. Voilà. Nothing, nothing less! Depressing to say the least, especially when applicants with AOR closer to mine are receiving test invites. I keep checking the tracker, nothing updated. That's about it. Looks like my application is part of the 27 months curse!!

If there was transparency about prioritiy of paper applications over online applications, I would have filed a paper applications.
I don't complain about insanely long processing time but about this unjust preference of paper applications over others.

I wonder if we can report this to some news outlet that paper applications are being processed while online applications are sitting completely static. Maybe if it's out in the news how unfair this process is, this could give it some traction or they could implement a more logic way of processing these applications.
