16 months is a guess of someone here in he forum based on his analysis of people's timeline input. The 27 months is on IRCC's websiteWhere is everyone seeing the 16 month to 27 months? Is there a link?

where did you see that? it's impossible not to process our applications. They'll get delayed, bit not stop processing them for sure.https://ibb.co/HGxpndw
I'm not 100% clear on what the text highlighted in yellow means. Are they saying they won't be able to meet the 12 month standard for people who applied until the middle of the Fiscal Year Q4? But will they be able to meet it for people who applied after?
Also it looks like they'll process "0" ZERO applications that are in the Sydney office submitted between October and December 2021. What will happen with those applications?
In the link you'll see the processing numbers from various offices and also the text I highlighted in yellow. Sorry, I mean of course they'll process our applications, but seems like the batch from Oct to Dec 2021 in the Sydney office is marked as "0", so not sure what they mean by that.where did you see that? it's impossible not to process our applications. There’s any way to know where is your file beside you the gcms notes, it’s for your residence place ???Another week gone with Scarborough office asleep.
If you have any friends who will apply for citizenship in the future, tell them to write a cover letter to CPC-Sydney: “Dear citizenship officer, please do not send my file to Scarborough.”
I did paper because it is a family application. Otherwise i would have done online. Preparing an envelope with 4 paper applications and a lot of documents for each one was very messy.paper or online? my AOR is Jan 21, October Online applicant. Nothing since AOR.

BTW you're in the November 2021 thread, post in the Jan 2022 thread.Hello all,
My wife and I submitted our paper application on Jan 4, AOR Feb 10.
We both got the test invitation on May 12 and passed, status set to complete on May 18.
Here is my question, my wife's background check was set to complete on Apr 6 about a month before the test invitation but mine is still in progress.
1- How come we have different statuses on the background check?
2- And if mine was not complete yet, is it usual to send a test invitation before the background check completion?
3- The fact that we got the test invitation means that our applications are with the local office now?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your input.BTW you're in the November 2021 thread, post in the Jan 2022 thread.
1. You're different people and so can have different time needed for background checks
2. Yes
3. No idea, do an ATIP request to find out where your applications are.
Paper applications are really lucky. All people who applied before you online, from September onward are still waiting, not even a background check update. We can't even dream of a test invitation.Hello all,

At least it paid off. The paper applications are getting processed much faster. We are the one stuck behind! Online hereI did paper because it is a family application.
