No, take the test ASAP (it's not that hard) and let your application move. Don't wait for a hypothetical date in the future. You can cross the oath rescheduling bridge if and when you come to it.

I just received the test invite today. Looks like my application is being processed in Scarborough.

I am going to be on vacation for 3 weeks in November. I am thinking of doing the test as late as possible (Sep 13 or 14) so the chances of my oath being scheduled after I return on Nov 25 are higher. This is just to avoid going through the rescheduling process.

Does this make sense? Is the current timeline from the Scarborough office closer to 2 months or 3 months?

Have you considered the option of get the Oath before your vacation, seems applications are speeding up ???

I did, my best guess is if I take the test on Aug 26th, I get to oath by say Oct 31. That leaves me about 6 days or so to obtain a passport for travel which I am a bit wary about

Hello everyone. I was reading the test material and there are lots of dates that I won’t remember. Do you have a trick to make it easier?

They don't ask for a lot of dates - only big ones like Confederation and the BNA Act but not the small rebellions etc. Just keep practicing the sample tests available until you get the hang of all the important ones.

my AOR is February 7th and my online application was submitted on November 14th 2021. There is not a single update on my file.

I see all applications are moving even with an AOR after mine but my application is stalling.

anybody with similar timeline haven’t had any updates?

I live in Calgary but it seems that my primary office is Vancouver, I requested ATIP notes twice and haven’t got any answers.

I am really anxious and frustrated

Yup. Most likely your background check will be marked complete in a few days and you will be invited to take the test in the next 2 to 3 weeks
