Has any November 2020 applicants whose tracker hasn’t been updated since April 23rd contacted IRCC in any shape, way or form and got any response?

I requested ATIP notes but haven’t heard anything back yet. Tried calling a 100 times but I gave up now.
I tried contacting them but it was no help at all . They just repeated the facts I could already see on the tracker.

I requested a GCMS note around the beginning of June and got the reply only now. Loads of information given in the response and not clear to discern, but thanks to rajkamalmohanram's help, i was able to make some sense out of it. In short - there is no update to my case and not sure if a case officer has been assigned / picked up the item. It shows only 2 updates - only on Feb 11th when the AOR was sent out and the other on Apr 5th when the app went into in progress. Both indicate the location as CPC Nova Scotia and subsequently no updates to show. So the wait continues............Lets see.....

FYI, my citizenship test timeframe start date just got bumped to a week earlier (to july 9th from july 16th), so even if you already see some date on tracker, good idea to check it every once in a while.

Hi Guys,

Do we get refund if someone pays extra fee(s) by mistake? We have paid 805$ / citizenship application. we have paid for citizenship certificate (75$) & right of citizenship (100$), apart from regular 630$ fee.

Yes, you'll get a refund and the refunds are automatic for over payments.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-0002-application-canadian-citizenship-under-subsection-5-1-adults-18-years-older.html#Step5

Overpayment
If you pay more than the fees needed for your application(s) we will start processing your application, and send you a refund as soon as possible.

Note: You don’t have to ask for a refund. It will be done automatically.

Note: If you’re eligible for a refund, we will issue the refund to the person indicated on the Payer Information section of the receipt (paper applications). If there is no name indicated on the receipt, we will send the refund to the applicant.

I'm thinking of requesting notes by the end of July if there are still no updates (Montreal-based application). My BG was completed on April 15 and status updated on April 23 and nothing since. I'll give it 2 to 3 more weeks before requesting notes.

Makes sense, especially if you are a family applicant. Expect a wait time of 1 month to see a response on the notes.

I'm a single applicant with BG completed so I don't know why the test invite is taking so long. Construction holidays are coming up soon too in Montreal and a lot of people not necessarily in the construction industry arrange to take their vacations during this period so that could be one factor causing additional delay.

I am Montreal applicant Aug 2019. sitting since 23 months now. It is cone season in Montreal and things do get slow. The problem is not only construction vaccation but also the IRCC montreal office is trying to figure out which pandemic are they going through Covid 19, 20 or 21 , even covid is confused that they cannot make up their mind.

I think in 699 they are about to add a special Clause for Montreal IRCC officers who get injured due to pot holes and grievances caused by road closures.

While your post is humorous, I completely understand the frustration you must be going through,, especially with no control over the hapless situation and no explanation possible.
