People who have completed their test and waiting for their oath date can forget about getting it this year. September applicants who took their test in June 2021 are now getting their oath ceremonies scheduled in January 2022.

Citizenship test status was updated to Completed yesterday Aug 16 on the online tracker.

Update: I received the official test invite email on July 26 and took the test today August 14. Passed with 20/20, I lucked out and got the easiest questions from their database, very basic and absolutely no history questions or anything requiring deduction from the info in the booklet.

My online tracker was also updated today finally yay! 'New Update, waiting on you'. Test date range between july 30 and Aug 19. I'm so happy, it seems like the Montreal office did not go on construction holiday after all lol.

"Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst and unsurprised by anything in between". I think it's sensible to adopt this motto to manage our expectations regarding IRCC.

Just a random guess here, the next wave of test invites (for those with BG completed and last update on April 23) will probably go out around the 1-year mark, i.e closer to November 2021.

Finally some hopium for Montreal applicants! Mine was delivered on Nov 24 so I'm hoping my tracker will be updated soon.

I'm a single applicant with BG completed so I don't know why the test invite is taking so long. Construction holidays are coming up soon too in Montreal and a lot of people not necessarily in the construction industry arrange to take their vacations during this period so that could be one factor...

I'm thinking of requesting notes by the end of July if there are still no updates (Montreal-based application). My BG was completed on April 15 and status updated on April 23 and nothing since. I'll give it 2 to 3 more weeks before requesting notes.
