Have you checked eCAS regardless? Another user hadn't received anything in his e-mail, but his eCAS confirmed that his application had, in fact, been received after all, which means either:

a) E-mail address on the form was borked,
b) E-mail went to Spam and died
c) IRCC e-mail system is run by very tired hamsters on wheels

Since the two systems (email dispatch and eCAS) are discrete systems, don't just rely on the e-mail's arrival for confirmation. Keep trying eCAS as well, it won't bite you or send a mail to Trudeau to cancel your application for being annoying. :)
Option C

Don't worry. I am in the same boat as well and my delivered date was Nov 27.
I don’t why there’s no orders in sending AOR. It’s only reviewing the file is complete or not, so should send AOR no more than a week differences between applicants. I understand that each case is different, but that in application processing not initial review.

It is quite possible. May be the person assigned for your file is sick or on vacation or may be handling some back log of applications from 1 year ago. Possibly some files take more time to review than others because some applications are simple and just one applicants. Some applications are complex that they have multiple PR period, calculation days, presence out of canada for more than 6 months in one go requires PCC, some people may have criminal charges and some may have court orders.

There are only some scenarios I could think of. There can be many more.

Hello, Do we have any WhatsApp group for November 2020 applicants?
None that I know of, but I also don't really see the value add of it - we already have this thread and other threads to track other months, so everything (and everyone) being in the same place is more practical.

Hello Nov applicants,

When do you expect we will get called for the citizenship test. I see that even people who applied in Jan 2020 did not get invited yet. But i also presume once that online system is really in place they will be able to conduct tests and ceremonies in mass. So it could be a delay followed by very efficient processing. What are your expectations. The reason I ask is I have not seen my family in2years and wascontemplating going home a bit.
Thank you

It is difficult to say at this time, to be honest.

The Online Testing initiative was a pilot program that was originally only designed for 5,500 people for assessment but proved so popular that almost 6,000 people have taken it so far, with more being added. All while the IRCC's official position on the Online Testing initiative remains that it is still in a pilot phase. This could mean many things, depending on how you interpret it:

a) They are legitimately still testing the system while drawing up plans to roll this out at scale at a later date (rumored to be June but with no direct confirmation so far), or
b) They are using the 'pilot phase' excuse to continue with lower priority for testing while relying on external dependencies to help the situation. An example of this is the current ongoing COVID vaccination drive; If this is able to run successfully across most provinces, this would mean that the last item stopping in-person testing/interviews (albeit with capacity restrictions) is gone if they can make sure IRCC officers can get the jab. Once that happens, it could be possible to do this in-person at a limited capacity in their present offices with all cleaning protocols followed and with the possibility of setting terms and conditions that require all attendees to also have been vaccinated in order to go this route.

This dual approach of limited-capacity (but better than zero-capacity at present) in-person testing/interview/oath 'path' and the online-only 'path' could make short work of backlog, or at the very least, take a big bite out of this.

I would also add a caveat that the online-only approach (for both the test and the oath) is not the silver bullet that our desperate minds are making it out to be so it would be good to temper our expectations as well and remember that the situation is still fluid. The lack of interviewing (as per the anecdotal experience from a few folks who've gone through that route already) is already a considerably radical departure from the norm. Seeing as the majority of those cases also happened to be processed on 'Urgent' basis, it is entirely possible that their applications were examined deeply (albeit expedited), well before it goes to the point where they were issued tests and their subsequent oaths. Even then, I vaguely recall some of them also still got FP requests or additional requests before they received their Oath Invites (but I could be wrong on this). This may not be the case when it is launched at scale.

Additionally, for the oaths, there is a finite number of Citizenship Judges (the ones who actually conduct the ceremony) whose availability for these oath sessions is also conditional. While it would be tempting to cram the maximum number of people allowed for a Zoom call to get this done en masse, looking at the actual account experience of the ceremony itself (especially where you need to confirm and validate that you've cut up your PR card, etc) shows that for crowd-management reasons it is in the IRCC's best interests to do lower volumes of these per Oath Ceremony so as to provide the necessary level of scrutiny.

The only way we know for sure is to see how the current situation unfolds - there are simply too many 'unknown unknowns' at this point, including IRCC's opacity, to be able to know for sure what the timeline is.

If you must travel, take the necessary precautions and plan for all possibilities. Stay safe out there - it would be a tragedy to be this close to the finish line only to stumble.

In your experience, is there a chance to receive an email from immigration on weekends?
Chances are pretty low.
However, keep this in mind that this is not the end of this world if your application gets returned (I hope it never happens to anyone). All you have to do start over. Please don't stress over it. There are other peoples in this forum who's situation is worse than us. Stay positive.

You bet! :)
I left my kids (3 and 6 then) in my home country before I came to Canada, and they didn't come here till 5 years after. I missed 5 years of their lives.
I am very ok to wait now because this time, I am waiting with them here now. I guess, I just have so much spare time to think about the application when I am at work. :D
