Applied for TRV, but as per the current trend(since EE applications are moving faster), may be getting PR soon. Is it possible to cancel the TRV application ?

@legalfalcon spoke with the agent and found out Security is not yet started. May the ghost updates are a glitch after all

The GU depicts a movement. It can be addition of a document, passing of a stage, transfer of file to another VO etc. etc.

The only way to know if by comparing the activities in the GCMS notes with the date your received the GU.

However, there is no need to give much credence to the GU. Some applicants get them frequently, around 5-7 during the processing and others none at all.

It is a technical glitch, but like many other IRCC mysteries, this is another one.

@legalfalcon As I have crossed 6 months, had requested a webform for the status. Below are some of the important details received today so thought of sharing with you.
We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process in the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
At this time, all required documents and information have been received by the responsible office.
Furthermore, we verified the information on file and can confirm that:

  • The background verifications are in process.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
@legalfalcon What does you experience say on the received info. As per my understanding on whatever threads I have read previously if the file is in 'Sydney, Nova Scotia' it would take decades to get the approval(I may be wrong though but not sure at all). Also, I had felt my file would have been in New Delhi VO as of now but not sure why it still not there.
Your valuable inputs would surely be helpful

And yes if anyone else who has their file in 'Sydney, Nova Scotia' can please share their knowledge as well. Would highly be appreciated.

Wow, they have updated you almost the most important information which can be stated on the GCMS notes.
Can you share me what sort (kind) of question you have asked in the webform to get such a valuable reply. Because whenever I reauested same they give me highly generic information.

Its not about the VO. It is about the stages that have passed. As per the webform response, there is no mention of eligibility. So either it has not started or not completed, which is the most important stage.

“valid” here indicates, that the documents required for the specific stage are “legal, not expired, and accepted by IRCC,” and no further input is required by the applicant.

I got mygcms notes today,
in finalise application section I can see copr number but under that the status is cancelled. What does that mean!? Should I be worried ?

Eligibility , security and criminality are all passed on 25.03.2021. RPRF was requested on 31.03.2021 , paid on 01.04.2021 but application not updated since 31.05.2021.
Any information is much appreciated.
Thanks!
