Did your BG status change when eligibility was passed ?
Actually maybe 10days after giving the biometrics my profile was updated when i logged in. The BG status changed from we are processing your background check to we will send you a message when we start processing...

Criminality: In the process

@legalfalcon What would be the best way to get GCMS notes here?
Montreal VO seems to be the slowest one, mine is almost 6 months and still says criminality : in process a nd nothing yet started, FSW Inland

I think your eligibility must’ve changed to passed on that day

Hi, I have just received an additional document request and wondering if experts here can provide me with direction. I am planing to send a letter of explanation soon. Please help @legalfalcon

I was issued a PGWP valid till April 2021 but because of my passport expiring in 2019 the permit was issued with a must leave Canada by April 10 2019 condition. I applied for a new passport that arrived a bit late and I sent the application right away on April 12 2019. However I assumed that because my permit had an expiration date of April 2021 I could continue working until the new permit without that condition was issued. I got the permit in Aug 2019.
They are now asking to clarify if I was working between April - Aug when they were processing that application. I was because of the expiration date on my initial permit. Do you think I am in trouble and my application could get refused?

How to find my VO from MyCIC? Is it possible? Or do we have to request GCMS notes?

To know your VO, you can send a webform and ask, or call IRCC.

In your GCMS notes too it will be mentioned along with where your file currently is, and your primary and secondary VO.

As soon as your wok permit expires, you can no longer work. All temporary workers have general conditions and specific conditions imposed on their work permits

183 (1) Subject to section 185, the following conditions are imposed on all temporary residents:

  • (a) to leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for their stay;
  • (b) to not work, unless authorized by this Part or Part 11;

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ons-including-validity-period.html#conditions

You should have stopped working as soon as your WP expired. Only if your submit a WP application, then you are on deemed status and can continue working.

In your case, you should consult an immigration lawyer to draft your best response.

Thank you for your prompt response. The only reason I continued working was because of the expiration date of 2021 that was on the permit I was issued when I applied in 2018. I assumed this was fine as I was given a three year permit and that condition was only added because of the expiration date of my passport. Thank you again :(
And I will do as you have advised.

No, you do not need to provide a new PoF. When your FD matures, create a new one, and keep the transaction history.

If IRCC asks for an updated PoF, you can send the new FD and the transactions.
