Just an ADDON on the above.

If you are travelling back from Dubai to BOM(Mumbai airport) there is a mandatory 7 day quarantine in specific hotels(No home quarantine allowed)... This is a new rule and something even I was not aware off.
Hope this tip helps someone to make their plans accordingly.
This is crazy

Yes its possible. You can call and ask about eligibility as well as what visa office your file is at.

Hello everyone, so I submitted my PR application and received AoR on November 21, 2020. I got an update on January 4, 2020 that I passes the medical exam but haven't received anything after that. I am currently in Canada on a PGWP that expires next year. I applied under FSW class. I am not sure how the process goes from here, should expect some sort of an update anytime soon? or should I call and ask for an update? Thank you!

@legalfalcon kindly advice from your experience.
I have called IRCC twice in the past 1 week about my PR application status.
Both Agents said they are unable to view my application progress as my application has been moved to Accra VO.

Is this normal that Agents can't view application status?

Why could an application be moved so soon? From other applicants' experience , its only moved to regional VO when a decision is about to be made.

AOR-Nov 4
MEP Passed
Biometrics- Given 2017
FSW-outland

@legalfalcon As always, could you please provide your inputs on this?
My wife is planning to take a home loan on her name. Will this decision in anyway impact our ongoing application or have any kind of delays/impact? if we do not touch the POF amount/account.
To Note:
1. My wife is the Primary applicant in our application.
2. The bank account for which we had provided POF was in my name but as my wife being the primary applicant I had provided here complete access for that amount.
3. If in case this is allowed and not a problem then do I need to inform them about this decision or again share any kind of document?

I have pretty much the same exp. I'm Dec-2 AoR and was told by IRCC agent that my case was move to HK so she doesn't have any clarity. For any further inquiries I have to contact HKVO directly via the link IRCC sent to my email following the call. I guess this is when we have to rely on GCMS notes.
Cases being sent to local VO isn't a bad thing, considering the lock downs and reduced resources handling cases in Canada right now. I've seen many PPRs released by local VOs recently, including Accra, HK, etc. much faster than VOs in Canada.

Yes, this ia normal, as they do not have access to systems outside Canada. You will have to contact the VO where the file is, i.e. Accra VO, or request your GCMS notes. You can also send a webform and see if you can get any information.

No, you are free to take a loan. This has no bearing on your application as long as you maintain your PoF. You require the PoF when you submit your application, as well as when your land in Canada. To read more on PoF requirements, see https://bit.ly/3d0XCGl

@legalfalcon Excellent!! Thanks for providing quick responses. I always feel I should have had U as my consultant rather than wasting money on other ones.

Not sure why I am not able to post a reply on the same thread of your response. I does not provide me the access for your thread.
