Book an appointment in Nepal. Its economical as compared to Dubai. I had my biometrics done on 22nd Jan it was smooth. If not wait till March for VACs to accept PR applicants.
thanks for the info, i was looking at Sri Lanka and Nepal but Nepal online appointment booking says, "Biometrics - for Bio cases only" not sure what that means.
is this category good to apply for our biometrics.

Kindly advice, thanks in advance !!

Did it reflect on your profile that IRCC has received your biometrics?

Also, if I get the biometrics done in March, does it slow done my processing time, or the remaining background verification and other processing is still going on in parallel.

Thanks
SB

My biometrics status changed to completed within 10 min after I gave my biometrics in NEPAL VAC.

Your profile will move on and all the normal checks would be done and your eligibility assessd. But your BGC would remain incomplete as criminality is a part of it and without biometrics it can't be completed.

Permanent residence applications that we’re still processing
Due to the impacts of COVID-19, we can’t

  • process applications normally
  • provide accurate processing times
We’re prioritizing some applications, including

  • Canadians trying to return to Canada
  • vulnerable people
  • people who perform or support essential services
Status of Express Entry applications Last updated: 01-19-2021
  • Canadian experience class
    • We’re working at full capacity to process applications.
      • You may experience delays in processing because we have a backlog of applications due to COVID-19
    • We started processing applications received the week of August 12, 2020.
  • Other Express Entry applications
    • We have limited capacity to process applications and you may experience delays
    • We’ll update this when timelines become available.
Well according to this I don't think they plan on issuing any PPRs soon.
they are at August and that too for CEC candidates. They are not even considering FSW files
Plus I Just Saw the October AOR group, No PPRs worth mentioning

I have question regarding US PCC, is it fine to get it online or do we need to get a hard copy of it. Can someone guide regarding it.
Yes its fine to have soft copy only as you will need to upload it. But hard copy is free, while ordering just check the mail option.

There were 2-3 PPRs I saw yesterday from the October group but they were for people in Africa with their VO in Accra. I dont think Ottawa or any other VO in Canada has gained considerable momentum in issuing PPRs, especially for FSW and PNP.
