Everything with IRCC is delayed. IRCC is currently sitting in a 2.6 milling application backlog. Passports sent to the visa offices are processed locally and based on the number of staff available and how much backlog they have determines the efficiency.

And FYI, the federal government is still working under COVID protocols, and the majority of employees are working from home.
@legalfalcon it’s been 2 months now. Are there cases who’ve waited for 3 months also?

If I were you, I would send them updated PCC's and updated POF. Since your file is old, these documents may help revisit your file. Also, while sending these via webform, you can let them know that you are very eager to move to Canada as soon as possible and that you are sending these documents since the file is old. If you are an inland applicant, completely ignore my advice.

I've sent in my updated PCC already (last June with the re-meds), and informed them that I'm present in Canada at the moment because I recently got married to a PR. Pretty sure that moved my file somehow, but after that, nothing really...

I had emailed London visa office back in August to ask them to request an IME letter so I can do medicals when I was visiting Pakistan. I heard back today:

“Please be advised that the visa officer in charge of your application has decided that an interview is required. Interviews are usually conducted in our offices in Abu Dhabi during our area trips. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise when the interview will take place. We will contact you as soon as we have confirmed the date, time and location of the interview” and they also advised to not do a medical as they aren’t sure when the interview would be.

@legalfalcon what do you think this could be about? Should I order GCMS notes? Based in UK and they had asked for a detailed job letter as the last one just said which department I work in without saying what i actually do.
Also portal keeps saying I don’t need an interview.

@legalfalcon Any help from you on this?

You can sure request your GCMS notes. However, the reason for the GCMS notes is not disclosed in the notes until the interview has been conducted. However, you will be able to see the date when the decision to conduct an interview was made.

@legalfalcon It has been more than 2 months now waiting for the passport. Could you please share some details on how to withdraw the passport and submit later. Can we submit it again from the other country? What happens if we chose to withdraw? Will it effect our COPr?

2 years and counting. Now they say EE FSW-O should be processed in 27 months, so in theory 3 months left, but I can see from CBSA notes that the file wasn’t touched since early August. July was basically last month there was active development before they suddenly decided to prioritize new EEs and totally ignore the unprocessed old ones.

I just got an update in form of a medical exam request for my spouse and I.
I had two quick questions to ask and I would really appreciate someone answreing them.

1. How long would it take to get the approval from the date of medical submission?
2. Is possible to do the medical exam in your home country (India) since we both are currently not in canada and if it is recommended or not?

1. Hard to say. It would depend if the medical exam is followed by another additional document request.
2. You can do your medical exam anywhere you want as long as it is with an authorized panel physician.

For me medicals of my spouse were approved within 3-4 days after submission, but after 3 months no request came to submit biometrics, despite that it should be automatically requested once she passed medicals. I reminded IRCC 2 times about the necessity to send the bio request, but no response.

"We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details."

I don't see any medical request (IME). I tried to send webform but there has been no response. This is tiresome after 2+ years of waiting.

Do you have a place to upload the new requested medical examn ?

If yes, just do the exam, upload it and call it a day.

Sadly I don't see any upload link, and the medical center doesn't allow me to schedule an appointment without an IME letter.
