I raised a web-form with IRCC to check the status of my application on 03-Apr-2021, and got the below response from IRCC today. It seems like, the waiting will take some more time for outland applicants until travel restrictions are not lifted around the globe.Category: PNP-Outland India
ITA: November 05 2020
AOR: November 17 2020
MEP:January 04 2021
Biometrics: February 26, 2021
Eligibility is under review.
Application status is 67% complete.
@legalfalcon my case meets the exact same criteria for that program, except that I already submitted my PR in Nov 2020. Do you think they would pick up cases like me to be processed?Until the travel restrictions are eased, applicants outside Canada will have to wait, and IRCC will continue to find pathways for individuals already in Canada to meet its immigration targets. The most recent public policy announced is temporary, starting in May and ending in November. It will not have much impact on the applications already filed.
No update on the online portal but by calling IRCC a month ago I was told my eligibility was passed then.So did your background status change?
Did you ask specific questions about the stages that had been passed ?I raised a web-form with IRCC to check the status of my application on 03-Apr-2021, and got the below response from IRCC today. It seems like, the waiting will take some more time for outland applicants until travel restrictions are not lifted around the globe.
This is a policy that gives pathway for applicants in Canada who would not be eligible to apply in addition to who were eligible to apply before. It would not expedite the applications that have already been submitted,@legalfalcon my case meets the exact same criteria for that program, except that I already submitted my PR in Nov 2020. During the processing, applications ca be transferred to different offices across IRCC network. What matters is that what stage your are at, and where your eligibility is passed.@legalfalcon please hit me with something. What does it mean " Your file is now currently located to Nairobi visa office" can I take it as a good thing ?? I am dying to get an update or something. Nairobi office are not not replying emails or phone calls. I have already raised webform 2 weeks before and couldn't get any specific update.
Thank you for the quick update.During the processing, applications ca be transferred to different offices across IRCC network. What matters is that what stage your are at, and where your eligibility is passed.
In most cases, eligibility would be passed before the application is sent to an overseas office, usually your LOV, based on your country of residence.
See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/file-transfer.html
Once an application is at an office outside Canada, you will have to a contact the visa office directly.
Alternatively, you can request your GCMS notes to know the progress.
