Unfortunately my news is not good as I thought. My husband was refused as a sponsor
But my PR application is still in process and it's not likely to get approved from what I've read in their letter.
It all depends on the visa officer.
Does anyone know what are the chances for the PR application being approved after the sponsor has been denied?

Anyone here from philippines? So previously around march CIC requested for additional documents regarding my wife for a criminal case that was dismissed. And after submitting the requested documents the status for additional documents finally shows they received the additional documents and that was around end of August. After two weeks of September we finally received the Pre-Arrival letter which we were so happy.

But today we received another letter from cic asking again for additional documents from NBI,\

Below is the message that they are asking for.
Certification issued by the NBI outlining all criminal charges/cases including the
description of the charge, date when the charge was filed and the disposition of the charge (you may
present this letter to the NBI when securing the certification) This must be received at this office by:
2020/12/22

Which we sent all documents needed, we submitted court records, court resolution. The disposition of the case is "closed and terminated".
I don't really get what they want

Does my wife's paper continue since we receive the pre-arrival letter? I'm really afraid that our papers will get denied..

I am the applicant (my wife is the sponsor) We too have a similar application. we too got a similar msg from the cic. we sent in our supporting documents. That was back in march. and covid was mounting its assault on the planet. "Since march? we have heard nothing." Best of luck to you. -S

He has to take heart meds every day that cost a lot, so health care is participating in costs. And we didn't know they'll think of it as social assistance but they do...Without them he wouldn't be alive today so if it has to be this way...

Thank you. We sure do feel lost at the moment.
I'm travelling to Vienna VO on Monday because they asked me for biometrics (my PR application is still in process) but I'm trying not to think about it, their letter said it all depends on the officers there now

He is the sponsor right? That should have no bearing on whether he would be approved for being a sponsor. Is he on welfare? Medication is not paid for by the government otherwise. You should provide us with more info of what the letter says if you want more opinions.

I provided you with all the info I have and what the letter said. Too late for anything now anyway.
I appreciate all your help throughout the past year but there's no point in me staying here any longer.

25-NOV-2019: Application received.
13-DEC-2019: AOR1.
19-DEC-2019: Biometrics Requested.
20-DEC-2019: Sponsor Approval.
06-JAN-2020: Moved to Singapore VO.
12-JAN-2020: Biometrics submitted.
16-JAN-2020: AOR2.
04-MAR-2020: Linked application to online account.
17-MAY-2020: GCMS Notes requested.
11-JUN-2020: GCMS Notes received.
17-JUN-2020: Additional documents requested.
20-JUL-2020: Additional documents submitted.
04-AUG-2020: Pre-arrival letter received.
16-SEP-2020: Medical Requested.
02-OCT-2020: Medical Passed.

It seems like the process is getting better.

I received AOR2 by mail looking after i saw in ecase that my file started processing then decision made . So i think processing is an indication and u may not always receive AOR2

How the AOR 2 looks like

I think it's different depending on where your app is sent. My wife didn't receive anything but the ECAS showed a date that it was received at the VO and started to be worked on. Nothing official, just an accidental finding of the date when looking for something else.

Where is PA located? Close to London? AOR2 is more like 1/3 of the way.
