ecas is Electronic Client Application System, is where you get updates on your application online.
Aor2 is Acknowledgement of Receipt - is when you get confirmation that your VO has started processing your application on ecas.

I'm a sponsor in Quebec. Could you please help me understand AOR2 properly ? The application currently in CPC-Mississauga.

My ECAS has two status -

1. For Sponsor - Decision Made :
Details say - We received your application on Nov 26 2019, we started processing Dec 13 2019 and we sent you letter on Dec 18 2019.

2. For Principal Applicant - Application Received (from a long time)
Details say -We received your application on Nov 26 2019.

So does this mean I have not received by AOR2 ? Only when the ECAS status for Principal Applicant changes to "In progress/process", it means I received AOR2 ?

Okay thanks, yes my wife got an email saying that they are prossesing her file and checking to see if she's elegiable to be sponsored

That's great, after eligibility passed you can apply for TRV with good chance to succeed

My last update was rececing CSQ from quebec govt..but no updates from IRCC since december. My sponsorship approval was provided and biometric was taken..

My VO is CPC Mississauga.

Could you please share your details as well..

Congratulations, yes, it means he is approved for sponsorship. now you will receive a Medical request soon (this depends on your country too).

My file is finally transferred to Kingston visa office after being stuck in Sydney for almost 6 months, I feel a little better I see movement now the wait is in Kingston hopefully I dnt wait another 5 months and everything goes smoothly.
