I have good news you all!! So, I am able to vote on Monday and make a statement in this country. You know why? I am the newest Canadian in the forum. I wish you all the best in this journey, its been a long, long one. This was after I sent an email to my local office for them to spped things up for me to be able to vote. You all will have your days soon, hang on tight and dont loose hope even though it is frustrating. There were 72 of us today in my group from 17 countries. These are my timelines, admin please update.
Oath letter was received on September 3, 2021 and ceremony was today. 9/15/2021
I've updated the spreadsheet.

Congrats!

lazy bums,
they are "working" remotely on our files....

They should refund the fees!! We paid $600 for this shitty service.
I feel IRCC's attitude during this whole fiasco is you must be grateful we consider you to become a Canadian citizen, and all you can and must do is be silent and accept what we do and how we do it our way. As we noted throughout discussions emerged here and there in these forums, we should not discuss "Canadian things" from our unique perspective and experience as immigrants who want to settle in this country, at least not yet, because we don't have full privileges.

I have less of value driven and much more of a transactional view about this: both parties (me and IRCC) should keep up their side of the bargain.

Of course, because of the power differential, we are only bitching about this anonymously online, as lets be honest, we all concerned of negative consequences on our own case speaking up openly. A real lose-lose scenario....

any way few more months we this cohort will be done, but you should all remember at the next federal election when immigration priorities (or excuses) were set by this government, during this covid mess, we did not matter!

I think in general immigrants as humans are not a priority to any party in Canada or any of their concerns, and as I mentioned before the attitude is we shouldn't express our opinions or object. We are afraid because we are not protected as citizens are who harassed the PM personally with the middle finger up in front of the cameras on his campaign because they were not happy with his party's policies regarding the vaccines and lockdowns. Can we do protest peacefully for delaying our citizenships applications? I don't think so. We are seen as means. As skilled workers to boost the economy. I am not saying they shouldn't benefit from immigrants, on the contrary they should (it's a two-way road), but when push comes to shove (e.g., pandemic), we are put at the end of anyone's concerns, including issuing PR cards in a timely manners to travel and attend the holidays with our families whom we didn't see for years. I haven't see my elderly parents for 4 years, and now I cannot travel to see them because I neither have a valid PR card nor the citizenship. Liberals have failed big time, but I don't think any other party would have done better for us. Maybe for Canadians, but not for us
