So last week I received a passport request and today, I received another passport request and this time it's for my passport that expired in 2016.

They didn't mentioned if non English/French stamps must be officially translatted. It's ridiculous as how do they expect me to be in possession of my passport that expired more than 5 years ago! Luckily I found a scan copy of this passport in my files (as I used it to apply for Working Holiday to Canada in 2014).

IRCC should already have this copy in their system however they requested it again... I have a feeling like they try to make my application as complicated as possible

(as always, my timeline is in the signature section below)

Citizenship officer wont be using any document given for PR(or any other application you previously submitted).
I think that your eligibility for ctizenship would have fallen within that of expired passport too, meaning you applied in 2019 means your eligibility period is from 2014 hence surely you are supposed to be sending photocopies of the documents which cover the 5 year period(per instructions in the email you received) instead of expecting ircc officer to fetch it from your PR application.

Also the citizenship application instructions are referring to have it translated on non-English/french documents before submitting. Surely you would have seen the note in the email request on passport copies. You might have missed this one too.

Decision made on my spouse's file. Mine still says in progress. I was supposed to have an interview on 31st May which was cancelled and postponed. Call centre agent said that he didn't see any interview lined up for me except for the first one. So advised that I just wait. Nothing else can be done.

I am new here. I applied for my citizenship November 2019 with an urgent request. Fast forward 2021 Jan, got the citizenship test invite. Completed that in the month, passed, check my status 5 months later (may) everything is marked completed except oath of ceremony which is marked not started. My question is
1. How long does it take for the ceremony after rest, the website said within 3 months
2. How many people on here are in the same boat as me?

Does anyone know how to get through to a live agent at their call centre? I called 10 times in one day and either heard "not taking calls at this time" or after going through their auto-system, end up hearing "agents are busy, try again later".

If you could please share the number you used etc. that'd be great! The number I tried was 1-888-242-2100.

I'm ready to start adding pressure to CIC in any way I can, email/phone calls/tweets. Persons who applied in late 2020 should not be getting through before us.

Update Mississauga Office: Done with the Oath today. Officially feeling Canadian now. The wait starts for certificates which the officer said could take 2 weeks to receive then the passport application process starts. Good Luck everyone. Most of you will be done within the next 2-3 months.

Congrats. I am still waiting for the test invite since I sent application on Nov 2019. I am also from Mississauga.

Call around 8 AM local time. See if that works.

My test was done on 9 June and test status became completed on 14 June. There is no decision yet. Does it take up to 2 weeks for decision to be made after test status has changed to completed?
