So what do you guys think of those 27,000 people that were invited for PR on Saturday? With a minimum score of only 75 points!!

Do you think it’s going to slow down citizenship applications even more? I mean... somebody needs to process those PR applications and they definitely prioritize that over citizenship!

I really hope they have separate teams for PR and Citizenship. AFAIK Citizenship is mostly handled by local office after AOR.

Hello all!

1) I no longer update the tracker. Someone took issue with me telling the thread I made updates, and it wasn't worth the grief. Sorry.
2) Has anyone from Edmonton office received a test invite? I checked with both IRCC and my MP, and was told my background checks were done and I'm just in limbo waiting my turn for test invite.

Hi, would you please share what you asked your MP specifically? How long did it take for the MP's office to get back to you with an answer? Thanks!

I'm all for it! No, I don't think it will slow down citizenship applications. And that's 27,300 visas that won't need to apply for renewal, extension, etc.

Interesting, I didn't think about it this way... however somebody needs to process these 27,300 PR applications... usually they needed to process about 4,000 every two weeks and suddenly they must process 27,300!

Email. Ecas is never updated for test invitation (based on others experience)

It arrived to my junk mail, so be aware of your junk mail at all times.

This is my timeline:

Application received: Nov.18, 2019
AOR: Jan.31, 2020
1st notice to appear to exam: March 9th, 2020 (My exam was supposed to be on march 24th and got cancelled on March 15th)
2nd notice to appear now online test: Feb.17, 2021.
I can take the test from Feb.19th to March 11th.

Me and my wife both received the email pretty much at the same time.

We are a family of four from Regina, SK.
The email came from the Saskatoon office.

Congratz! Which email provider are you using? Gmail in iOS?
