No . We never got any fingerprint request . I am worried . It has been 2 weeks since we got decision made and now back to in process. both me and mom's application.
Call IRCC and inquire about the change in status. (888) 242-2100

I just talked to an agent and they told me that ecas is not reliable and it is not updated . I don't trust this agent I talked to . We will just wait for further communication from IRCC . hopefully there will not be any problem.

Looks like the agent also works for Bell or Roger customer service.

I'm so frustrated! My AOR is March 5, 2020 so in 2 weeks, it's a 1 year anniversary of them processing my application.
I called CIC again today and they told me my background check has been cleared since summer 2020 (never received any email re fingerprints etc) so why am I still waiting for an online citizenship test? What takes so long? I'm really losing my patience.

I live in Downtown Vancouver and CIC processing office is in Downtown Vancouver. Do you guys think I can literally go and knock on the door and ask what's going on and why no officer has touched my file for the past 7 months?

Funny part is, most, if not all of security clearances are valid only for 1 year. So, technically if you don't get test invite by summer-2021, then existing clearances will expire, and they will start fresh security clearance again. There are so many people in 2019 who received the fingerprints requests twice because of this rule.

Let's hope you get the test invite before summar-2021. Good luck.

Security clearances are valid for 4 years. IRCC and RCMP (criminality checks) are valid for 1 year.

You are not alone. I received my AOR even before you and haven't received any update since. It's so frustrating. The current situation says one thing: we are not a priority to them, and they say so in their website.

hi friends ,.. I had passed my exam on feb 12th.. Today when i checked my application status. it says decision made . But i didn't receive any mail for oath ? is that normal? or i missed the mail.??
Hi,

It makes me worried now. Looking at the delay after the Decision made and what happened to m7313. My status has been in Decision made since Jan 28th and no news after that. My finger print expires this week. And i dont have a clue on the next steps still. Looks like suddenly they have slowed down.

@Lumiere is there any news from your side?

There is no news from my side. I don't know why. My status remains unchanged. It is still "In process" until now.

Where did you get this security clearance validity date? I think CSIS security clearances are only valid for 18-24 months.

Please reference your fact.
Clearances
The applicant must not be subject to the prohibitions contained in sections 21 and 22 of the Act.
Applicant must pass all clearances: immigration, criminality (RCMP) and security (CSIS).
The CPC-S initiates all clearances. Validity for clearances is as indicated below.
  • Immigration: one year
  • Criminality: one year
  • Security: four years
