app sent feb... AOR April...got letter in October for citizenship test on oct 30...received email about discrepancy about 1.5 weeks before test date. Goes to show that they don’t actually go through the application until last minute. Frustrating to say the least.
Sorry to hear this. That’s really bizarre IRCC would invite you to the test despite you not meeting the physical presence days. Like, hey, take this test, but you’re not gonna qualify any way, bye.

that's outrageous ! they showed you the CBSA border records?
I had to ask them to send it to me so I could cross reference. After I checked it and saw a trip I missed I wrote the officer back to say that this missing trip brings me a few days under the min requirement of physical presence. She asked me to come in for my citizenship test early and ask to speak to an immigration officer so they can go over options and To bring a printed copy of the US border crossing to cross reference but said if I think for sure I’ll be under the min required days then withdrawal would be my best option. Had I known that we can get access on the (US) website of our border crossing history to and from the US it actually would have saved me that mistake. Getting your history from CBSA takes 6-12 months!! But from the US you can get it online instantly. Crazy!!!

That only leads me to believe that they don’t actually go over our applications until the last month or so....

Hi - Does the Location (City, Province) of the applicant matter in the processing of the application ? Meaning are they prioritized any different based upon geography and respective applicants from that location ?

Some cities and provinces process faster than others yes, however you don’t get to choose where your application is processed. It goes to the CIC office closest to the address on your application

yes, different locations differ in processing time, however, you won't move to a location solely for the purpose of saving two or three months time right?

Guys I have a question. I need to apply for citizenship in 2 months. I got my pr 2 years ago and I am eligible now since I was a student here. I had 2 years of experience in a job here at that time. But 1 year employer paid me cheque. My mistake, I didn't pay taxes for that. After 1 year employer paid me through direct deposit, deducting taxes.
And I filed for tax return every year, but I didn't state about that job for that year for tax return. I don't know whether he had a record of employment for that period. Anyway I got tax return and I had stated this same experience for 2 years on my pr application. And it all went smoothly. Don't know what I have to do on my citizenship application. Will that become a problem?
The problem is I have stated 2 years on my pr application and only 1 year on tax return.
