Hey, does anyone know how proof of funds works? I submitted POF for CAD15,000 when I filed the application and as per GCMS notes this was accepted (my application is pending on the security background check stage). Do we need to provide POF again at any further stage?

The reason I ask is because those 15k are losing value everyday just sitting in my account and with no clarity into when our applications will be processed (FSW-O), I was planning on investing them in a low risk security.
If your eligibility is passed, you shouldn’t worry about that. You can invest but be sure to pull out when you want to travel.

Really really hope you are right, but personally i don't think we'll see any movement for another 5/6 months. Would be happy to be proven wrong though haha

I hope you are right my friend. It has already become an unbearable pain and frustration for those who had their AOR in 2019, and still waiting an unknown amount of time for literally no reason. None of us would have ever expected a 5-month immigration application to take 19 months just because we're outside of Canada, which is quite normal as we're trying to legally immigrate as skilled workers.

I just want this nightmare to end asap with a happy ending.

Inland applicants have already been getting their applications approved in full swing all this while. Did you check why your application is taking so long?

Good day @legalfalcon if re-medicals of principal applicant and dependents were instructed and has duly been submitted and is now indicated in the IRCC portal account page, “June 11, 2021 You passed the medical exam.” This means everyone’s (principal applicant and dependents) medical examination are passed right?

Also, would this indicate that re-medical examination instruction is the last instruction before PPR? IRCC also asked for updated travel history, Schedule A and Family Information and also has been submitted and acknowledged by IRCC being reviewed since April 20, 2021 and still says the same today on the IRCC portal account page. I’m currently in Toronto hoping to be considered for the PR confirmation portal.

Thank you very much.

If it says, you have passed the medical exam, it would be for all individuals in the application. Before an application can be finalised, medicals have to be valid. If you were asked to re-do the meds, and if they have passed, then the meds are valid for another year.

Thank you @legalfalcon Since IRCC is reviewing the Additional Family Information, Schedule A and Travel History that we submitted April 16, 2021 and was acknowledged by IRCC being reviewed since April 20, 2021, are these forms connected with criminality, security, background check? Thank you in advance and hope you don’t mind the additional inquiry.

I know how you feel, my fellow EE applicant. My file has not been touched by IRCC since the last October and my security has remained not started. Such a frustration.

Waiting for my latest GCMS but I believe it will be the same status as last year for me too.
Which is your VO?
