Hi @yosupa,
is this friend of yours able to apply for a bridging permit? Maybe that could help in his situation?
Hey thanks @Bilybongosky. Not sure, I will check with him. His current work permit is valid though. He was exploring options. But challenges/complexities in his case are that he is unable to find assignment within the organization, the his organization doesn't keep onsite employees on bench without project. Either furlough or pack-up the bags. and that jeopardizes the provincial nomination. not sure if bridging WP can help him?

My god.

7,000 applicants per month

Processing fee ($825) and right of permanent residence fee ($500) = $1,325

Total Income per month = CAD$ 9,275,000

This is assuming single applicants. If you include dependent fees, the amount could be $13m to $15m per month!

They are making over $100m per year!
What kind of calculation is this where expenses r put at 0. Really funny

I think you are right @yosupa, I am not sure if the bridging permit would be helpful in his case.
From what I know you can only apply for the bridging permit 4 months before your current visa expires... then when it does expire - you are granted an open work permit (until the decision on your PR application is made). This could be helpful in a case where your friend's visa is expiring shortly.
I am planning to do a kind of similar thing - my current visa expires in early 2021, PR application is still in progress... I will apply for the bridging permit and once my current visa is expired, I will be trying to find a better job with an open work permit (I am on the company-specific work permit now, working a dead-end job).
Best regards.

You meant medical for everyone once again? Did you initiate on your own?

Anyone got CoPR from CPC-Ottawa? I’ve been waiting for ages. No news since May 2020. Everything passed. Finally asked my agent to order GCMC notes. Anyone knows how quickly I can get that?

I did not talk about profit but income. See my post again. Unless you have their expenditures, we cannot calculate that. I did not add the income from the federal to IRCC.

Share with us the report where the complete calculation is made and you have drawn from your conclusion that IRCC is not making money of immigrants.

This was mentioned in circular they issued for recent increase in immigration fee and that was justification they used for increase in fee

I've seen on another post a few people have been asked to re-take their medicals because they've expired. I really hope they don't start doing this for everyone, it's really not fair when we've paid thousands already. I'm so sick of their lack of clarification and information for what's happening out outland applicants.

Yeah, I too came across this information on re-medicals. But I believe that was for profile other than M1
