They were getting updates for me. Nothing really groundbreaking but much more convenient than webform or phonecalls. I used to email them every month or so to see if there was any movement on the file. Updates were exactly the same since April 2020 though. Everything passed except medicals. Let...

Not really, I asked them if the application was approved (about a month ago) but they told me the final decision hasn't been made yet. I did not really receive any other info from them. My main point of contact and updates was my MP Office. Cheers!

Good question - also wondering about that. My medicals expired in March 2020, since then only medicals were outstanding. I received an update on my profile on Nov 5th saying that the medicals were passed. Not sure what does it mean for my application in general. Thanks for your help in advance.

Sorry to hear that @yosupa. I can only share my experience with you. I've tried that before. I am also on a 2-year company-specific work permit. After my engineering degree was approved by a Canadian professional association, I started looking for a job closely related to my field of study. I...

Hi @legalfalcon, thanks very much as always! As for your second answer - I just wanted to add that the baby was born here in Canada and (I assume) is a Canadian citizien. Does that mean we will still need to obtain the medicals for her? Best regards, Bilybongosky.

Hi @legalfalcon and everybody else! Our first child was born 2 days ago (Nov 6th). I have 2 quick questions related to that fact: 1. I wanted to let IRCC know about our baby through the web form. Is there any special document that I should upload with my email? I wanted to attach a scan of her...

What's the difference between "all stages passed/waiting on PPR" and "waiting on the final decision"?

If they slow down more, they will start going backwards.

HI @CCS0025, here is one recent example: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/november-2019-aor-join-here.661770/post-8934755 This person re-did the medicals himself and in my opinion, this speeded up the process, I could be wrong though. Cheers.

Hi @N_2020 - congratulations! This must be very exciting for you! I am in the exact same situation (AOR Nov 9, CEC, Inland, VO Ottawa), however, I did not re-do the medicals on my own yet (my wife is pregnant, can't do X-ray). @legalfalcon do you think that re-doing medicals helped @N_2020 ? Or...

On the main page of my IRCC account (where you can see all of your applications related to immigration), I can see that the "Current Status" of my EE application started showing "Application/profile updated". When I enter the application details though, there are no updates/changes whatsoever...

Hi @legalfalcon, just a quick question - from your experience, does IRCC extend medicals for inland applicants and ask to re-do medicals for outland applicants? Or it doesn't matter? Regards.
