Hello everyone,

I am curious what it might mean.
In my application status box the message changed from
"You may not hear from us for a while ... " to
"Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along."

Is this just a common "cream and sugar" like progress bar or that really means that someone started to process my application?

Background & Eligibility: We are reviewing ...
No progress since then.

Hey, I filed a web form yesterday and I received a reply this morning.
We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

• The eligibility is currently valid.
• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification is currently valid.

I don’t know why the immigration officers would give me different informations. When I called they told me that they are working on my security now and my web form is saying that my security has not been initiated please which one do I follow? And Does valid mean passed?

I also raised a WebForm last week and got the below:

4. The criminal background verification is currently valid.

While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your inquiry.

But when I spoke to 3 different IRCC agents they all said, all 4 phases are "In Progress". But WebForm says Security has not even been initiated. So I guess we will just have to wait and watch, as usual !!!...

To all the people whose status changed to changed to " Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to .... "
That is a generic messages and it usually happens when the time remaining for application crosses 13th or 14th week threshold it doesn't mean anything significant.

is this the real IP2?

i have never received any ghost update in my email. And my profile status has been ‘Submitted since after MEP passed.

Timeline:
AOR - November 17, 2019
MEP - December 10, 2019

no ghost update or anything until that change today.

i called CIC to check status
My application is with CPC-Edmonton
Eligibility - PASSED
Medical - PASSED
Background - PASSED
No mention of security

The agent was talking really fast and the next thing i remember he said was that it says there everything is “under review to make sure they can give you permanent residency”

i’m a bit puzzled by his last statement. Can anyone enlighten me?
