We received our COPR and passports today. We are living in the US and wanted to check whether we are exempt from travel to Canada.

As per the below site, it appears we are exempt since we have a valid COPR and
  • you’re currently living in the U.S. and will be coming to Canada directly (transiting through the U.S. to Canada doesn’t apply)
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/immigration-applicants.html

However, I would not assume and would like to confirm with the experts if we should plan our movement to Canada.

I just received it yesterday. Not sure if that helps at all. Last I had received was in June, almost 5 months but nothing happened post that. yes I Had requested GCMS notes., not sure any correlation as this time around also I have raised GCMS notes.
I received the same email this week, which I had last received in June. So same situation as you. I did not order any GCMS notes though. AOR Nov 9th 2019.

Hi all,

Those who have received RFV request from CPC Ottawa could you please confirm the delivery address of your passport.

The address if you are sending the passport from US to CPC Ottawa...the actual delivery location
I would suggest following the instructions from CIC on where to send the passport as I think it would depend on each VO.

For me, it was -

CPCO – PR VISA
US Permanent /Temporary Residence VISA/Passports
365 Laurier Av. West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1

For me also, it was the same address as per the instruction. But upon checking the proof of delivery from FedEx , I see that it was delivered to 2303 Stevenage, although the location K mentioned to UPS was the same as yours. The passport was delivered on Oct 23rd and still no update/ response from CIC. I am feeling anxious.

Hmm.. do you want to contact CIC to confirm.

I used Fedex.

Here is my timeline -

Ready for Visa email: Nov 16
Passport Sent to CPC: Nov 17
Passport Received at CPC: Nov 18
Approved in CIC portal: Nov 24
Passport return tracker activated: Nov 30 - I did notice that original shipment was Nov 25 from Quebec and I assume they may have used internal courier service before handing over to Fedex
Passport and COPR Received: Dec 1

Hi,

Did anyone received following email from IRCC, looks like its random email:

We're still working on your application.

You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.

We send messages to your account if we need something from you. When we do that, we'll also send you an email to this address:
XXXXXXXXXXX

Learn more about what to expect while you're waiting for us to process your application.
We got this email too, twice actually. Now our Medicals changed from Dec 17, 2019 to "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes."

The day we passed. Upfront Med was done around Nov 26.

From medical passed there was no update.

Do you have any idea what might be happening?

Since you had used FedEx , there should be a proof of delivery . Can you kindly confirm the delivery location from the proof of delivery. You can find that only if you log into your FedEx a/c through the website. It would be a great help to me. TIA
