Hey Guys,

Great to read about everyones progress :).

I just have a few questions with respect to the following:

AOR: 16/02/2019
Updated Police Certificate Request: 18/02/2019
SA: 28/02/2019
Medical Request: 28/02/2019

So, having looked at the GC Key it currently says:

"You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes. "

Does this mean our application has potentially bypassed the interview stage?

Also, in order for the application to be sent to the local visa office would they need to receive the police certificate (Which i sent today 05/03/2019) and the medical, or could it get sent to the local visa office prior to this?

Kind regards,

Sarah

No, the interview can be needed on the latest stage of the process, after you file will be transferred to Visa Office.

After medical do IRCC updates the status with medical received before medical passed or do we directly see medical passed?

Normally they update the medical passed status within 3 to 7 days. I feel you should definetly ask your clinic if they have sent the report and if they did then call CIC to confirm.

confirmed with clinic they said they already forwarded to cic the following day and also call cic today to see if they have received the medical, they said they can only provide that information to the principal applicant and she is in india or if sponsor wants to get information i need to submit use of representative form

You could use the Webform instead and fill out her details - then ask her to forward the response to you / set up forwarding from CIC to your account.

should i ask cic to update medical results or what should i ask cic?

I’d just ask for an update on the medical as it was sent on 24th of Feb and you’re worried that’s it’s been over a week now with no updates.

GCKey basically says that for everything in the beginning (e.g. "You do not need a medical exam," "We do not need additional documents," etc). It's confusing because what it really means is "we haven't gotten to that part yet." :p If you were to be called for an interview, it would be close to the very end of the whole process, as @maxprostomax says, because that's the point when they finally evaluate the legitimacy of the relationship itself.

If the application is transferred to VO or on a queue for to be transferred . The Medical Passed Update can be delayed.

Most straight forward Outland Spousal Sponsorship follow these process steps (the order of the steps may vary)
  1. Application received at IRCC
  2. IRCC start processing application
  3. Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR 1)
  4. Link Application to Online Account
  5. Sponsor Approval and File transfer to VO
  6. VO starts processing PR application (AOR 2)
  7. Receive Request for Medical Exam
  8. Medical Exam @ IRCC Panel Physician Clinic
  9. Medical Exam Result
  10. Passport Request (PPR)
  11. Pick-up Permanent Residency Visa (PUM)
Spousal sponsorship process completion time varies depending on the Visa Office and on a case basis.......will advice you assume process completion takes 12 months to help reduce the waiting stress.......relax.....its a wait game.

Hi there, our process is following these steps exactly as you have put them: My question is the following - the 12 months everyone speaks of, is it 12 months after AOR1 or is it 12 months after the application is received? i.e 12 months after it was couriered? Since our AOR took more than 3 months, it would suck if the 12 month mark only started then.

  1. Application received at IRCC - 11 September 2018
  2. IRCC start processing application - 14 December 2018
  3. Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR 1) - 17 December 2018
  4. Link Application to Online Account - 17 December 2018
  5. Sponsor Approval and File transfer to VO - 10 January 2019
  6. VO starts processing PR application (AOR 2) - 21 January 2019
  7. Receive Request for Medical Exam - 27 February 209
  8. Medical Exam @ IRCC Panel Physician Clinic - 4 March 2019
  9. Medical Exam Result - TBA
  10. Passport Request (PPR) - TBA
  11. Pick-up Permanent Residency Visa (PUM) - TBA
