Thank you :) is there any aditional fee that we need to pay at the VAC?

In our case, no additional fee was required. I paid the biometric fee at the time of application submission. My wife did get a receipt when she went to VFS in Lagos though. The receipt converted the fee I paid in CAD to Naira, the local Nigerian currency.

usually and quite sadly, it is at the back of the queue.

They didn’t send his application back, they just requested replacement forms within 30 days. So there’s the posibility he won’t be at the back of the line again.

I’m now just outside of London at a hotel... heading in tomorrow for my biometrics :D

Biometrics done and GCKEY has already updated.

I got there at 7:45 and there were already two people queuing (the London VAC serves multiple countries).

Once the doors opened I was second in the queue for biometrics and ushered up to the second floor. There were quite a lot of people in the queue behind me but the actual process takes around a minute and a half then you’re back out and free to enjoy your day.

If you’re eager to get yours done, I’d just do a walk in and make sure you’re there early. :D Moorgate station is very close and easily accessible via a number of the tube lines.

Just got the SA email through. Approved

Congrats!!! Interesting that you got that today, on a holiday in Nova Scotia! Wasn't expecting anything to happen today, though maybe this just gives credence to the idea these notifications are programmed to all go out at a set time in advance.

That would make sense. Interesting to see that not many people have received medical requests as of yet... I wonder when they'll come in.

We had confusion as to whether or not these holidays apply to federal employees in the thread. However, the link below confirms they're not:

Does the new holiday apply to all employees?
It applies to most employees who work for provincially regulated businesses. It does not apply to federal government employees or employees of federally regulated businesses like banks, airlines and railways.
