+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
Been trying to call the 888-242-2100 number to see if I can get a status (The application was received 11/22 but no AOR yet). Verizon (calling from the US) keeps giving me a "this number cannot be completed as dialled". Anyone got it to work from the US? (ECAS isn't showing anything either - nor can I link on GCKey)

Try calling on +1 613 944 4000, let it go through the menu options and choose immigration, it should put you through to CIC with no problems.

Thanks. Got through to the menu options, then it transferred me and I got "the toll free number you have dialled is not available from your calling region". Oh well. Will try when I'm down in the US next week.

Had a little dig and found a few workarounds in the thread below:

Good luck getting through, even if they confirm they’ve got your application you’ll feel a world of anxiety and stress drop off your shoulders!

That's the one I called and works. In the menu press 1 1 1 2 1 1 0

Thanks! Using *67 before the 613 number worked. Still too busy to connect me, but at least I got that far! Just want confirmation it actually got there and didn't get eaten by a polar bear....

Mississauga is known to be pretty quick, but they're only handling inland applications. I believe there's the possibility of applications being sent to them rather than local visa offices when there is backlogs.

Sydney has only recently started handling outland applications as far as I'm aware, and have had a backlog for a while - hence the lengthy waits for AOR's.
Oh I see,thank you

Got Sponsor approval email today

Application received by CIC - NOV 28
AOR - Jan 22
SA - Feb 1st

Im in the same situation as you just AOR and Bio-Metrics request today, haven't received SA or medical
I'm in the same boat now. Just got the bio-metrics request today.

A question for you, did you get MR yet? if yes, did you have to do your bio-metrics in order to get the medical request?

The reason I'm asking is that my wife will have to travel to another city for both bio-metrics and medical exam. I'm wondering if we should wait for medical request before going for the bio-metrics.

If anyone else went through the same thing please share your experience.

Just got a message saying my application was sent to Mississauga office. We sent it to Sydney originally.
Already have AOR/SA/MR last week
I wasn't really expecting it to be sent to Mississauga. Thought it would be headed to the local VO in PA's country?

If your local VO is backlogged they’ll send to Mississauga... it’s good news as they’re much faster at processing from what I’ve read.

Application received November 23rd.
We still haven't received AOR.

We're currently on hold at the moment..we figured we'd just give the office and call and ask if our application has been sent back.

Does anybody know how the CIC sorts these out? It's a little discouraging to see folks who submitted later get processed much faster. I noticed on the Facebook group that a few December applicants have started to receive AOR and the jealously is strong with this one here haha.
