November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

Hey guys!
Just a quick question (December 2018 applicant here)
Is the delivery time of the PA’s medical,from the clinic to the immigration ( which would take 10-13 days according to the clinic), included in the 30 days time frame given for the medical to be done?
Coz, we still have to wait for one week for the IOM to be done coz my wife (the PA) is still on her period which prohibits her to take the IOM test.

The request letter states:

You are required to undergo the medical examination within 30 days of the date of this letter. Failure to do so may result
in the refusal of your immigration application.

So as long as it’s completed with the 30 days you’re fine. It’ll be dated and sent off to CIC.

Question about job continuity after Sponsor Approval

Hi everyone! I have been approved as a sponsor and now the PA application is being processed. I am considering changing jobs and I might be unemployed for a short time. Will this put our application in jeopardy? Does anyone have experience with this?

Are you just sponsoring your partner? If so there’s no need to inform CIC as there’s no low income cut off on family sponsorship applicants and you were in the job you stated at the time of application and SA.

I’m going to assume you’re referring to GCKEY. Are you able to login, answer the secret question and then it takes you to a page with your application or is it not letting you get that far?

Yeah, it will default and then take me to pick english or french and take me back to the main page (My application, processing times etc etc).

What browser are you using?

I don’t think I even see the English or French splash page until I log out of GCKEY.

Edit: could you try logging in via private browsing mode and let me know if it lets you in first time?

Depends on the country the PA resides.

I’ve heard they process India’s PA’s quickly due to a trade agreement. Don’t know how true that is though.

Hi guys, just a quick random question ~ I'm the PA and was unemployed when our app was sent off but now that I'm back in the UK i've picked up some work for the next 3 months. I'm not sure who or if I have to inform IRCC? Some forum posts are saying that no updates are needed but wondered if anybody knew for sure?

The only updates you need to provide are mailing address or residential address updates. Your employment doesn't make a difference to CIC and they don't take it in to account when making their decision on the PA.

The general rule of thumb is don't send anything to CIC unless they request it. Unless you need to update a renewed passport, in which case that needs to be uploaded to CIC.
