You applied in November 2018 too and still waiting? My background check started last year in Feb. (2019). Which is the country of origin? Have you contacted your MP? I sent web forms every week since February...

My backround check was started in may same time got sponsor approval. I have agent m unable to do anything.i asked her to email Calgary office but she is still asking to wait .i did call spoke the agent said background check in progress. Can take 2 days to 2 months. Donot no what to do?i applied on nov 15 2018

Have you checked ECAS? You do know you can remove your representative anytime...

I was in the same situation as you (almost). I had my landing on March 16 which was cancelled due to covid-19.
I got and email from IRCC yesterday, saying that my PR application is finalized and now I am a PR. I think you should get an email soon.

Thanks!! You do know that you are not going to be requested biometrics. Only those who applied AFTER Dec. 3, 2019 are required to provide them.
Also, you haven't been asked for the medical exam yet? I think you should request your GCSM notes in case you haven't and send web forms inquiring why the wait! Some clinics in Montreal are resuming medical exams for Immigration purposes.
