If im asking family and friends to help by writing a letter of support. Do i need all the letters notarized?
CIC does not require letter of support to be notarized. it's a bit of a waste of money.
The most important is the letter to be honest and concise. We sent 12 letters from family, friends and co-workers
Make sure you add the complete individual information.
Example:

My husband had his app received on Nov 13. It seems like it’s been forever without any update~ the last was background check started on March 12.
Finally, tonight, we read in ECAS on PA side~ “We started processing (Principal Applicant)’s application on May 7, 2019”. Can someone help me with what this means? I know it’s progress in the right direction, but does it mean we are close to DM stage? (Fingers crossed!!)

Yes that means they are reviewing PA's eligibility
Sponsor’s side on ecas shows decision made today while Applicant’s side still showing in process even though I’ve received AIP. Hopefully, they will send the SA and DM letters soon.
I got email today that my file transferred to Calgary office for further assessment.is it a good sign or bad.little worried.
Not really a bad thing but the local office will check the genuineness of your relationship that’s all. If all is good, you will get AIP and if not they will call you for an interview. Any red flags on your app?
