I'm wondering about this tooHi all,
With my husband now have a OWP, we’d like to invite my mother in law to come and visit us in the summer as we are expecting a baby. Does this some how impact his PR application? Since he’s not a PR yet(I’m Canadian citizen) and inviting his mom to visit after he’s been in Canada for 6months raise any flag?
We can show she has a job and husband back home to she will go back after visit us. Would this help?

If inside Canada, you do need a declaration of Common-Law.Hi! I know this is a very dumn question. But just wanna make sure if when you are applying for common-law do we need any license or certificate that we are legit in a common-law relationship? Or just having lots of proofs that we are living in the same address for 12 straight months is fine?
Must be American or outland...Can’t belrive this, December 11th applicant recieved AIP:

That's only if you're also applying for an OWP at the same time.If inside Canada, you do need a declaration of Common-Law.

No It's not important to have declaration that's an optional thing and it does help but it's not really required. If inside Canada, you do need a declaration of Common-Law.

If you are living with your bf he can sponsor you as common law or you can wait until you get married in may and do the spousal sponsorship. How long is your current work permit valid for? Because if it runs out soon, you could apply for the OWP together with your PR application or speak to your boss to extend your contract and therefore your current work permit.Hi everyone, i dont know if this is the correct thread for my question. i arrived in Canada as a live-in caregiver but i was released upon arrival. Im trying to look for sponsorship but im not that lucky enough. the option was i have a boyfriend for 5 years who already got the PR and we are trying to get married this May.
now my question is if there will be a problem on that? or i need to talk to my employer not to cancel my work permit until the spousal application is lodge?
any valuable answers will be appreciated.
